Set right on the shores of Lake Garda, the Rocca Museum is situated in the pedestrian area of the old centre of Riva del Garda and is reached by means of a small entry bridge. This fortified building dates back to Medieval times, with walls in stone and mortar, four corner towers and a keep from which there is an incredible view of the whole town and the lake. The considerable renovation work that has been carried out over recent years has revealed some ancient buildings and now offers ample space for its exhibits. Important finds demonstrate the local history, art and culture, with a large archaeological section and an interesting picture gallery. Not only is the museum a cultural attraction, where guided tours can be organised, but it also has areas that can be used for open air gala dinners, welcome cocktails and small meetings. Within the museum is a 380m2 courtyard, able to seat up to 300 people theatre-style, and next to this courtyard is a 70-seat conference room, equipped with basic technical requirements.
