The Balter wine-producing company can be found on the hillside to the north of Rovereto, 3km from the old town centre, in a position overlooking most of the Vallagarina valley. It is a family business dating back to 1872: through the generations, the Balter family has succeeded in expanding their business and these days produce red, white and sparkling wines. The company is made up of an old building called the ‘Castelliere,’ inside which, there is the underground wine cellar, and all around it are 10 hectares of cultivated vineyards. This winery offers guided tours, (in foreign languages if required,) which culminate in a tasting of the main wines produced. It is also possible to organise lunches and dinners with wine-tastings, either in the old hayloft, a rustic style room with wooden furnishings, (with up to 70 places,) or in the Castilliere garden of around 200 m2.
