Situated in the central eastern part of Trentino, this extremely varied tourist resort is recognised for the wide range of activities it offers, from the high altitude slopes of the Lagorai range to the thermal treatments available in the Valsugana. It offers a wealth of lakes, cycle paths, castles and palaces of both historic and cultural interest. The area extends as far as the provinces of Belluno and Vicenza. 
Amongst the better known destinations of this area are: Borgo Valsugana, administrative and economic centre for the whole area, Pergine Valsugana, famous for its large castle, Levico Terme, noted for the healing properties of its waters and Caldonazzo, famous for its beautiful lake.
