Built in the mid-XIII century, this castle is one of the many residences once owned by the Thun family in the Val di Non. It was purchased by the Autonomous Province of Trento in 1992, and the castle is home to art collections, furnishings and books collected over the centuries by its previous inhabitants. Today it represents an extraordinary example of Trentino regal architecture.
Castel Thun is very close to the village of Vigo di Ton, and sits on a hilltop, noted for its towers, large halls, bastions, courtyards, moats, avenues and walkways.
There are three areas that can be used for meetings, buffets and other types of event within the castle:
The Guards’ Hall, The Cannon Lodge and the Internal Courtyard.
The Guards’ Hall is excellent for conferences and meetings, and is equipped with basic technical requirements, with a space covering 110m2 that can host 90 people.
The Cannon Lodge, on the other hand, is ideal for coffee breaks and buffets. It is 160m2 and can hold 200 people.
