The Val di Non can be found in the north-western part of Trentino and is crossed by the River Noce, which, close to the town of Cles, feeds into the large, artificial lake of Santa Giustina. It nestles between the Val di Sole, the Rotaliana plain, the Paganella high plain, the Val Rendena and the province of Bolzano. The area is known for the vast number of fields where apples are grown and also for its wealth of castles, frescoed palaces, stately homes and sacred buildings.
Amongst the most important destinations in the Val di Non we have Cles, economic centre for the territory, Sanzeno, home to an important Rhaetian museum and the famous Sanctuary of San Romedio and Ton, known for the extraordinary Castel Thun.
