The Fuciade refuge can be reached in 45 minutes or so on foot in Summer, or with snow shoes, motorised sleighs or snow cats in Winter and is an elegant wooden building situated on the slopes of the San Pellegrino Pass (Moena).
Fuciade was originally a humble place where passers-by would stop-off to eat, and has since been restored by the Rossi family in 1983 to become the well-equipped mountain refuge it is today, boasting a restaurant and bedrooms.
It offers a great starting point for excursions on foot or with snow shoes, and the refuge also lends itself perfectly to welcoming incentive or team-building groups, such as geo-caching, Trapper cookery courses and wine-tasting. The building comprises a 20m2 internal room and a 60m2 terrace, which can both be used for this type of activity or for training, which is what it is well-known for. The indoor room is especially suited for giving presentations – even at high altitude – with its projector and screen.
One of the strengths of Fuciade is its refined cuisine and its well-stocked wine cellar, which, despite the high altitude of the refuge and the logistical difficulties that it presents, boasts over 300 labels.
