The Trento tourist board takes care of promoting the county town of Trento, the Adige Valley, Mount Bondone and the Valley of the Lakes. Vast and varied, this area is noted for an ample tourist offering ranging from the cultural aspect of the city of Trento, to the food and wine delights of the Adige Valley, the idyllic landscapes of the Valley of the Lakes and the sporting facilities of Mount Bondone. The part that is found to the north of this area is called the Rotaliana Plain: a land of great rivers and a real wine haven, scattered with pearls of historic architecture, which can be discovered by bicycle. All around, towering vertical mountains, criss-crossed with walking and climbing routes, and the rolling agricultural hills, are sure to evoke strong emotions. Amongst the more important destinations in this area is Trento, the county of town of the Trentino region, Candriai – a much-loved tourist resort on Mount Bondone, Mezzocorona, famous for its excellent Trentino wine production, and Terlago – right in the heart of the Valley of the Lakes.
