This area sits in the extreme south-eastern part of Trentino and borders onto the Veneto region to the south, the area promoted by the Trento tourist board to the north, the Garda Trentino to the west and to the east with the high plains of Folgaria, Lavarone and Luserna. It is a varied territory, ranging from the small town atmosphere of Rovereto to the rural Vallagarina and the mountainous high plain of Brentonico. It is noted for offering a complete package, from history, art, culture, food and wine to sport. 
Amongst the major centres of this area are: Rovereto, the city of peace, Ala, an old war frontier, and Mori, the crossroads between this tourist area and other important points of interest in Trentino, such as Lake Garda.
