Nominated as one of the most ancient monuments in the Trentino region is Stenico Castle, which, for many years, has been thought of as the bulwark of the area to the west of Trento. It was built right at the top of a rocky summit, and subsequently boasts a spectacular view across the Giudicarie Valley, which, in past times, obviously meant that the approaching enemy could be seen from afar.
Following the occupation by Napoleon, it fell into decline, but Stenico Castle was later re-built by its various owners over time. Today, this important monument belongs to the autonomous region of Trento and has been transformed into an important art and history museum. It houses furniture, paintings, arms and utensils that date back to an array of historical periods. The museum’s displays tell the story of past times in the Trentino region.
On the second floor of the museum is the boardroom. Once upon a time it was used as a representation area, but this hall is currently for concerts, conferences, meetings and small events. There is a presenters’ table, chairs and electrical connections, and the room can hold up to 90 people.
