The Cooking activity is a useful teaching methodology to stimulate teamwork, organisational skills, collaboration, coordination and the ability to manage time, contingencies and available resources. This practice is also very useful for gaining awareness of one's own aptitude for communication and listening in the group.
OUR PROPOSAL: ‘TREKKING, TRAPPER COOKING AND PROBLEM SOLVING
The proposed activity involves combining trekking with ‘alternative’ cooking, i.e. not just cooking, but providing for the complete organisation of the meal, from the choice of food to its transport. After the trekking, the group will arrive at a shelter/hut/equipped field where they will divide up the tasks to cook trapper-style.
